Kensington Health Sciences Academy Site Coordinator
Congreso de Latinos Unidos, Inc., a dynamic nonprofit, is currently seeking a full-time Kensington Health Sciences Academy Site Coordinator to work within its Education and Workforce division. The Kensington Health Sciences Academy Site Coordinator is responsible for the administration, coordination and supervision of group facilitators, safety monitor and sub-contractors. The Site Coordinator will assist the High School Manager in the development and oversight of the After School and Summer Programs at the school and relationship development and management with school staff and administration. In addition, the Site Coordinator will link the program with community resources and is responsible for client recruitment.

Essential Functions
1. Ensures overall program progress in the achievement of service objectives, and directs appropriate actions, or implements changes in the afterschool program to ensure the compliance of contractual obligations and accomplishment of program goals.
2. Provides direct supervision, support and training to all site personnel (part-time, volunteers, interns, sub-contractors and youth).
3. Coordinates weekly supportive staff meetings and daily debriefings to discuss concerns, program development, staff relations, and personal challenges.
4. Maintain weekly check in’s with school staff to receive referrals and promote afterschool program.
5. Attend and participate in school meetings as needed to promote afterschool program.
6. Establishes performance standards for all personnel to assure that contractual service objectives are attained and that performance goals are met.
7. Is responsible for hiring and management of HR related processes with the support of the High School Manager.
8. Maintains and inventories equipment and supplies.
9. Serves as a liaison between school staff and Congreso staff regarding use and maintenance of building, custodian and teacher relations, and administrative support.
10. Participates in the formulation of program goals and objectives and administers program to meet such goals.
11. Maintains accurate attendance records and completes data entry forms according to the 21st Contract.
12. Forms and maintains positive and supportive relationships with participants’ parents through monthly parent contact.
13. Assists in the preparation of program concepts, curriculum and proposals for continuation of grants, and new funding opportunities.
14. Makes relevant client referrals to internal Congreso programs and/or external resources
15. Participates in the coordination, planning, and implementation of the annual Lights, Congreso Action! event and other related events.
16. Ability to provide services to clients and staff that reflects Primary Client Model™ service delivery approaches that are Client-Centered, Data-Informed, and Culturally-Appreciative.
17. Attend and participate in continuing education related to Primary Client Model™ which include active participation in quality circles and the maintenance of work according to the data established requirements.
18. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, and Licensure
Minimum Associates Degree
Professional supervisory experience required.
Experience providing direct services to youth, the community or related experience.
Experience working with at-risk youth.
Knowledge of the Puerto Rican/Latino and North Philadelphia community and its dynamics.
Bilingual/Bicultural (English/ Spanish) preferred.
Excellent writing and computer skills preferred.
Minimum Experience:
1-2 years of experience in providing direct service to youth.
Knowledge of the Puerto Rican, Latino, and African American community and the resources available.
Knowledge of the Philadelphia School System and curriculum standards.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Minimum Education:
Associates Degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
