KaBoom! Playground Grants
Posted by on April 11, 2003
KaBOOM! (http://www.kaboom.org/), a Washington, D.C.- based nonprofit organization that helps to build playgrounds across North America, in partnership with Computer Associates (http://www.ca.com/community/), has announced its 2003 Playground Challenge Grant Program.
The program will award twenty grants of $5,000 toward the planning and construction of playgrounds to eligible community-based nonprofit organizations in the United States and Canada. Community groups applying for a grant must demonstrate a compelling need for a new or improved community playground, the ability to organize volunteers in the planning and construction of the playground, and the ability to raise the additional funds needed to build the playground. Grant award winners must also commit to building their play-grounds by April 2004.
Deadline is April 30, 2003. For more information about the 2003 Challenge Grants program and to download an application form, visit the KaBOOM! Web site http://www.kaboom.org/nooz.aspx?id=339
