June 16-19: Juneteenth Discovery Weekend. The Pennsylvania Juneteenth Coalition (PAJC) is sounding the trumpet for African descendants to march in file with drums, re-kindling Philadelphia history during the African American Parade. PAJC invites a host of participants, including: musicians, artists, organizations, military units, African or Caribbean cultural units, Negro League Baseball Players, Buffalo Soldiers, Tuskegee Airman, Civil War Re-enactors, Cowboys and Cowgirls.
