As many of you know, June is AIDS Education Month!

What some of you may not know is that this is the 18th year of prevention, outreach, and fun!

This newsletter will briefly outline some of the biggest and most exciting AEM information to ensure that you don’t miss a beat this June.

And remember to register for all the FREE events as soon as possible to secure your place!

Request a Community Presentation

FIGHT offers AIDS Education Month Community Presentations to the Philadelphia community June 1st- 30th. Trained FIGHT staff and Peer Educators will bring an HIV presentation to local agencies, churches and community groups. Last year nearly 100 presentations reached over 2,360 individuals!

10th Annual Beyond the Walls: Prison Health Care & Reentry Summit prison panel

Movements for Change

This is a unique event that each year addresses the intersection of activist movements that Kiyoshi Kuromiya fought for: civil rights, HIV activism, drug policy reform, indigenous people’s rights, LGBTQ rights, & Internet access and Freedom of Information.

National HIV Testing Day

Wednesday, June 27, Various Locations Throughout Philadelphia

This year Philadelphia FIGHT is excited to debut our “Have you updated your status?” campaign!

FIGHT and our partnering agencies will be open late on the 27th to provide free, confidential HIV testing.

FIGHT is delighted to be partnering with:
-Mazzoni Center
-Dorothy Mann Center at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children

Anyone who gets tested at a participating agency on National Testing Day will get great incentives like:

Look out for the Cookout! The Community Cookout has come to be the celebratory closing event of AIDS Education Month with lots of family-friendly fun, great food, and fellowship!
