Take part in this historic tribute by joining us at this community paint day where you can paint the mural!
Mural Arts Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Citizen, and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School have come together to produce a uniquely Philadelphian tribute to honor the life and legacy of Judge A. Leon Higginbotham Jr. (1928-1998), a Philly civil rights pioneer. Through an editorial series, public art mural, dedication event, and programming, the memory of this great figure in history and his singular voice of moral leadership is introduced to a new generation.
Bring family and friends! This event is free and open to the public, all ages welcome. No experience necessary. Everything you need to paint will be provided. This event will be held outdoors with water provided.
