Community College of Philadelphia’s Junior STEM Academy 2021 Summer Camp – Uncharted Exploration
Hands-on learning and innovative technology experiences await you at Community College of Philadelphia’s Jr. STEM Academy Virtual Summer Camps for middle school students, grades 6-8. Offered through the Division of Access and Community Engagement, the camp combines live instruction and pre-recorded lessons to provide a fun and engaging experience. Two sessions will be offered where campers will create their own version of the International Space Station with Minecraft Education Edition or learn to code their first gaming app with MIT’s App Inventor Studio.
Session 1: July 6, 2021 – July 22, 2021 (Minecraft in Space)
Session 2: August 3, 2021 – August 20, 2021 (Space Invader Apps)
Each camp runs for three weeks, Monday through Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registration and tuition is $50 per camper. Students can register for one or both sessions. Registration deadline is June 28, 2021.
