Join Need in Deed’s Civic Action Teacher Network for the 26-27 School Year
Posted by Need In Deed on March 3, 2026
Need in Deed provides free training and support for 3rd-8th grade Philadelphia teachers looking to bring community and empathy building, civic action, and social justice inquiry to the classroom. Participating classes complete a year-long civic action process tied to their curriculum, and teachers receive an introductory summer training, monthly network meetings, one-on-one project support, and coaching throughout the school year. Act 48 credit, meaningful peer collaboration, and stipend opportunities are also provided. Teachers who are accepted will join a network of like-minded educators dedicated to bringing student and community-centered education to their classrooms.
