TREE Fund invites LOIs for John Z. Duling Grant Program
The Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund) aims to support the discovery and dissemination of new knowledge in arboriculture and urban forestry, and awards research grants, education grants, and scholarships to advance the fields of arboriculture and urban forestry.
The fund invites applications for its John Z. Duling Grant Program. Through the program, grants of up to $25,000 over up to three years will be awarded as start-up or seed funding to support innovative research and technology transfer projects that have the potential of benefiting the everyday work of arborists. The fund welcomes research proposals and applications from a wide range of academic and technical disciplines, of both a qualitative and a quantitative nature.
In 2024, the program will focus on propagation, plant selection, development of new varieties, and planting/establishment and arboriculture theory and practice.
Letters of inquiry are due September 15, 2024. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals by October 1, 2024.
