TREE Fund Invites LOIs for John Z. Duling Grant Program
The Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund) works to support the discovery and dissemination of new knowledge in arboriculture and urban forestry.
To that end, the Fund is inviting applications for its John Z. Duling Grant Program, which will award grants of up to $25,000 over three years as start-up or seed funding in support of innovative research and technology transfer projects that have the potential to benefit the everyday work of arborists.
In 2021, the program is focusing specifically on risk assessment and mitigation including all aspects of decay detection, hazard tree assessment, and related matters in which human safety, including worker safety, are concerned.
One-hundred-word letters of inquiry are due September 15. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by October 1, 2021.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund website.
Deadline: September 15, 2021 (Letters of Inquiry)
