The Educational Advancement Alliance, a non-profit organization, is currently seeking a Student Coordinator to work in the Advance College Academy Satellite Program. This program provides juniors and seniors at Overbrook, West Philadelphia, and Bartram High Schools the opportunity to take college courses in their schools. These courses will be facilitated by Cheyney University. Students who participate in this program will receive dual credit (high school and college credits) upon completion of the courses.
In addition, students will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops and other activities that will assist them in the transition from high school to college. The Student Coordinator will be expected to participate in these activities as well.
The Student Coordinator will primarily be responsible for monitoring the implementation of the program, among other tasks. A likely candidate should have at least a bachelor?s degree in education or related field and some experience working with high school students. This person should also be self-motivated, organized, and flexible.
