JEVS Postsecondary Success Coach

JEVS is hiring coaches for its College for America (CfA) work with Southern New Hampshire University.

The JEVS Postsecondary Success Coach supports students enrolled in the JEVS/ Southern NH University (SNHU) partnership by providing program participants with a primary and reliable point of contact as they engage in and complete competency-based, online Associate and Bachelor degrees and/or industry certificates. The JEVS Coach will develop a relationship with each individual that meets their needs in terms of support, encouragement, and accountability; guiding program participants in planning a program path that includes participant’s goals, accountability, setting and maintaining pace; and developing a support network. In addition, the JEVS coach provides resources and tools to navigate the postsecondary process and develops individualized learning plans and tasks for clients to help them meet their educational and career goals and obtain credentials and degrees).  The Coach provides services in varied aspects of program retention such as digital literacy, skill building, growth mindset, goal setting, and aptitude/interest assessments.   The Coach also acts as a resource navigator to individuals, ensuring that their basic needs are met so that they can be successful in their academic and career pursuits. In addition, Coaches will support the recruitment process through group client presentations and demonstrations at local companies, non-profits and schools.
