What Citizen Jane Can Teach Us: Higher Learning and Democracy.
Rockford College is pleased to host this first annual conference. The conference goals are to celebrate Illinois Campus Compact’s move to our campus and to explore the impact of 1881 RC alumna, Jane Addams’ life and work on higher education in the 21st century. Institutional teams will develop action plans to be implemented on their campuses. Join deep thinkers and movers and shakers like Don Harward (President Emeritus of Bates College and Senior Fellow at the American Association of Colleges and Universities) and Elizabeth Hollander (Executive Director of Campus Compact) in workshops and discussion.
When: Noon on Sunday, 4/25 to 3:00 on Monday, 4/26.
Where: Rockford College, Rockford, IL
Cost: Individual, $175; Team of 3, $450. *Scholarships are available for students without an institutional affiliation*
