IT Coordinator, Mariposa Food Co-op

The IT Coordinator supervises members of the Co-op’s IT department, provides end-to-end support for systems and hardware used at the co-op, coordinates with store departments to help them assess their IT needs and priorities, and coordinates with outside contractors for IT work that falls outside the domain of the IT coordinator’s responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Supervise three person IT department
- Coordinate with outside contractors as needed
- Maintain local network
- Maintain Linux servers
- Maintain Microsoft Windows Server with Active Directory
- Maintain MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
- Maintain Windows 8 Professional Workstations
- Maintain backups for all servers and databases
- Ensure the security of all hardware and software systems
- Provide oncall help-desk support during store hours
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a Linux system administrator
- 1-2 years of experience with SQL databases
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience with maintaining Windows workstations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
Pluses: familiarity with point of sale, membership management, and content management systems; experience working in co-ops and/or with consensus-based decision- making processes
This position reports to the Board of Delegates, Operations Committee, and Staff Collective.
