Introduction to Fundraising at the Regional Non-Profit Center
Sponsored by: Philadelphia’s Young Nonprofit Leaders (PYNL)
Date: March 24, 2006
Come learn about fundraising from the experts. This March, PYNL invites you to discover one of Philadelphia’s most valuable resources for grant-seekers in the non-profit sector: The Regional Foundation Center in the Free Library. Director Gloria Hibbett will give participants an introduction to the Center and talk about the the most effective ways to use this resource to raise money for your organization.
About the Center: The Regional Foundation Center of the Free Library of Philadelphia’s mission is to maintain an up-to-date, comprehensive research collection; provide free and open access to all materials and resources; and encourage and promote acceptable standards for grantsmanship. Full-time staff members assist patrons using the collection, which consists of: thousands of books, journals, and pamphlets; annual reports and IRS returns (forms 990PF) from local foundations; clipping files on important fundraising topics; electronic databases and internet access to nonprofit information; and more.
