Introducing the PA Afterschool Advocacy Alliance
Posted by Pennsylvania Afterschool Advocacy Alliance (PA3) on October 10, 2023
Building on our success last year and the opportunities we had to see many great programs across the state, we are excited to announce the creation of the Pennsylvania Afterschool Advocacy Alliance (PA3). Click here to complete a brief survey to help us get started.
It’s time to have a united effort in advocating for afterschool programs across the state. We need your help to set and advance shared priorities for afterschool in PA. Through PA3, we’ll also be sharing resources such as research briefs, toolkits, and trainings to support afterschool providers and allies to drive change.
The mission of the Pennsylvania Afterschool Advocacy Alliance is to:
- Give voice to the program providers who support Pennsylvania’s children, families and communities
- Advocate for public policies and investments that increase access to high-quality afterschool and summer learning programs for kids across PA
- Raise awareness about the power of afterschool and summer programs with local, state and federal policy leaders
Through forming the Alliance, we can work together to secure crucial dedicated state funding for afterschool programming, help set statewide priorities for afterschool in PA, and identify what actions and resources are needed to expand access to high-quality afterschool programming.
If you believe in the mission of the Pennsylvania Afterschool Advocacy Alliance, please share this and encourage other advocates to register their organization. We can make a difference, together, as providers.
