The Hunger Free Communities Network (http://www.hungerfreecommunities.org) is a web-based, nation-wide platform for those committed to ending hunger at a local level. Created and maintained by the Alliance to End Hunger, this website is unique in that it provides a nationwide platform and clearinghouse for those active in local anti-hunger work to connect with one another, learn from each other’s best practices, and access resources from across the local and national anti-hunger community. Some of the features you can expect to find there include a vibrant blog, lively discussion forums, a searchable directory of Hunger Free Community coalitions, and an expansive resource library. The ultimate goal of this website is to help unleash the full potential of the community-based anti-hunger movement.
Please join the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Alliance to End Hunger, the Corporate Hunger Coalition, and local and state-wide anti-hunger leaders from across the country as we discuss our vision for this new resource, demonstrate some of its key features, and answer your questions.
