Interpreter Training Workshops

You are receiving this information because you have either expressed interest in our interpreter training workshops or you have attended one of our trainings in the past. Nationalities Service Center (NSC) would like to update you on future dates for upcoming workshops.

As you may know, NSC offers the following interpreter training courses:

Community Based Interpreter Training
Community Based Interpreter Training is a two-day workshop that provides an overview of the field of interpretation which focuses on the importance of interpreters in the community and includes practical experience.
Upcoming dates:     Saturday, June 15th and Saturday, June 22nd from 9AM to 5:30PM.

Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap is a 40-hour medical interpretation course that is nationally recognized. Upon successful completion, participants are eligible to work in hospitals, clinics, and other medical settings as an interpreter. Participants are required to take a pre-course language assessment. There are two upcoming sets of course dates.

Upcoming dates:
·         8 week course – Tuesdays and Thursdays – from June 25th to August 20th (no class on July 4th) – from 3:30PM to 6PM. Registration deadline May 31st.
·         Intensive course – July 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, and 27th from 9AM to 5:30PM. Registration deadline June 21st.

These workshops are open to bilingual individuals of any language pairing. Trainings conveniently take place at Nationalities Service Center’s Center City location: 1216 Arch Street, 4th Floor,  Philadelphia, PA 19147
