Internships sites needed for Mastery Charter students

Posted by Mastery Charter Schools on December 01, 2014

Mastery Charter Schools believes that connecting youth to internship experiences in the professional world is an essential component for to preparing them to succeed in post-secondary placement (include college and work). By providing 10th grade students with the opportunity to engage in an 18-week internship, Mastery is supporting a transformative experience that resonates with students throughout the remainder of their high school career. Upon completion of an 18 week training seminar, students are prepared to work every Wednesday from 1:30 – 5:00 beginning at the end of January through the beginning of June.
Mastery is hoping to expand it current list of internship sites. The Mastery Internship Partners are organizations that partner with Mastery to host at least 12 Mastery Interns, and enjoy benefits such as:

  • The ability to influence and mentor a group of exceptional Mastery students;
  • The opportunity for mentors within your organization to become a member of Friends of Mastery, which offers networking opportunities for mentors;
  • A single contact at Mastery to support the partnership;
  • Regular communication providing program updates and tips for mentors;
  • Training specific to the partnership site conducted by Mastery before students start their internship.

Mastery Team members would to have the opportunity to speak with you about becoming a Mastery Internship Partner for the 2014-2015 school year. If this is an opportunity that is of interest to you, please respond with the best way to contact you so that I can set up a brief introduction to Mastery’s program.

Thank you in advance and I look forward to speaking with you about our Mastery Internship Partners program!
