Research for Better Schools
RBS is a nonprofit organization funded primarily through grants and contracts from the U.S. Department of Education, National Science Foundation, Mid-Atlantic state departments of education, institutions of higher education, foundations, and school districts. The agency supports the educational community by providing evaluation services, technical assistance, professional development, and dissemination of applied research. RBS’ mission is to help schools improve student learning, teacher content and pedagogical knowledge, and operational effectiveness by offering high-quality, evidence-based products and services.
There is one opening for the fall term as well as spring. Interns will gain experience in a wide range of tasks as they head into Year 4 of the project, including conducting literature searches, working with SPSS data and creating tables, and entering data. (Graduate-level interns perform some higher-level tasks, such as conducting classroom observations if appropriate).
