Interns, Campaign for Working Families/Teaming for Technology

Teaming For Technology at United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania is looking for two interns to provide technical assistance for the Campaign for Working Families 15 free tax sites operating in Philadelphia during the 2005 tax season. This internship position will be responsible for the following:
* Install and support Tax Wise software (both hardware and software support). The intern will service four tax sites, including on-call availability to answer questions and handle crises as they emerge.
* Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware and software needs to designated 3-4 Campaign sites throughout the filing season
* Work with the CWF Technology Supervisor on all aspects of the program. Attend Management Team meetings of the Campaign for Working Families throughout planning and implementation of the tax sites (December through May).
* Assist with the installation of computers at identified electronic filing sites, including the installation of approved electronic filing software.
* Assist in maintaining electronic filing hardware inventory and specifications of hardware listed by assigned Campaign site, including site information and e-filing statistical data.
* Help CWF Supervisor with the downloading of all data at the end of the tax season.
The internship starts October 31, 2005 and ends May 15, 2006. The intern will be expected to work a total of 400 hours over this time period. The schedule will be coordinated by the CWF Technology supervisor.
Compensation:
Monthly Septa Transpass
Hourly Rate – $5 for a maximum of 400 hours
