International Paper and Conservation Fund Invite Nominations for Environmental Awards

International Paper ( <a href="http://www.internationalpaper.com/">http://www.internationalpaper.com/</a> ), in partnership with the Conservation Fund ( <a href="http://www.conservationfund.org/">http://www.conservationfund.org/</a> ), annually recognizes the efforts of people across the United States to protect the future of America’s outdoor heritage.

Each year, the two partners honor individuals whose work demonstrates that a healthy environment and a healthy economy are mutually supportive. The $10,000 awards are provided by the International Paper Company Foundation
( <a href="http://www.internationalpaper.com/our_world/philanthropy/">http://www.internationalpaper.com/our_world/philanthropy/</a>).

The International Paper Conservation Partnership Award recognizes an individual who has achieved significant results in the protection of habitat through a cooperativerelationship with a business or corporation. Nominees, as an individual or through a business or organization, must have achieved significant results in the protection of terrestrial or wetland habitat in the United States, and have demonstrated the positive value of cooperative partnerships between business and the conservation community.

The International Paper Environmental Education Award honors educators who have shown special skills in giving students a better understanding of the complex relationship between environmental protection and economic growth. A nominee must be an elementary or secondary school educator or university faculty or staff member who has developed an innovative approach to environmental educa-
tion that results in significantly improved comprehension of environmental issues; fosters understanding of the linkage between environmental protection and economic growth; demonstrates leadership; and inspires achievement.
