March 28th, 11:30 AM-5:00 PM (3 hour shifts) EXPO Table Staff for Girls Exploring Tech Together (GETT)
Volunteers Needed: Table Staff to help girls as they stop by the Expo table. The activity on the table will be to take apart a computer and identify a few parts. A training video will be provided to all volunteers. No hardware experience necessary, training video will explain all.

TechGirlz is a Philadelphia-based 501(c)3 nonprofit inspires middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers. Founder Tracey Welson-Rossman notes that ‘girls are self-selecting out of technology around ninth grade’, so all of TechGirlz workshops and events are targeted towards engaging girls in grades 6, 7, & 8.
