Instructional Assistant, Launchpad

Position Overview:

Launchpad is currently looking for a passionate and creative individual to serve as an Instructional Assistant. The ideal Instructional Assistant possesses a deep commitment to our mission, a strong ability to connect with young people, and a proficiency in IT or computer science. The Instructional Assistant will work with the Launchpad team to support an after school program geared towards providing foundational IT skills to 11th graders. As an instructional assistant, you will be responsible for answering student questions, running breakout sessions with smaller groups of students, and offering one-on-one support to students as they navigate the coursework. This is a hybrid role with in-person responsibilities on Tuesday afternoons and one Saturday per month. This position is 10 hours a week, and starts at the beginning of December. Candidates must be available Tuesday afternoons and on the first Saturday of every month in Spring. We are looking for folks who have about one year of IT and/or CS experience to support Launchpad’s 11th graders as they move through the first class of the Google IT Certification. A candidate who possesses the Google IT or CompTIA IT Certification would be ideal.
