Scholarship applications are still being accepted for the 2003 Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service, one of the premier summer programs for undergraduate students interested in volunteerism and careers in the nonprofit sector. The deadline for submitting applications is March 15, 2003.
The Institute is an intensive six-week residential program for college undergraduates from across the nation. Students also hold internships with nonprofit organizations, attend presentations by leading figures from the nonprofit sector and participate in a variety of service projects. Over half of the students accepted to the program will receive a full or partial scholarship.
The Institute is sponsored by The Fund for American Studies and the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University and will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 6 ? July 19, 2003.
