Posted by on February 25, 2005
The Saint Joseph’s University Institute for Violence Research and Prevention (IVRP) in partnership with the Faith-Justice Institute will present the IVRP’s fifth annual symposium on Tuesday March 1st at 7PM in the Haub Center on Saint Joseph’s campus.
The title of this year’s presentation is “Global Conflicts and the Prospects for Reconciliation” and our featured guest speakers will be Mr. Colin Craig, Director of TIDES, and Mr. Alastair Kilgore, acting Director of the Corrymeela Center. Both Colin and Alastair have extensive experience in promoting reconciliation efforts in Northern Ireland, and additionally, Colin has worked in Kosovo, Bosnia, Macedonia and Pakistan.
Please join us on the evening of March 1st for what promises to be a stimulating and timely presentation on what happens when conflict ends, and peacemaking and reconciliation begin.
The event is free and open to the public. More details and directions to saint Joseph’s are available by calling Jessica Keating at (610) 660-3097.
