The College of Education at Temple University is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Regional Symposium titled, Inspire. Incite. Innovate: Strengthening College Counseling and Advising. This is a leading convening by a major Higher Education Institution in the region to discuss the latest trends, practices, and innovations in College Access and Success. The Convening helps practitioners, policy makers, educational advocates and corporate partners explore opportunities to collaborate, develop and hone strategies to improve access, equity and educational outcomes for underrepresented populations in our region. Last year, this event attracted over 350 participants representing various sectors in society who share a common goal of expanding post-secondary opportunities for all students.
We invite you to join us on Thursday, November 12 at the Temple University Howard Gittis Student Center as we convene experts in the field to share best practices in these key areas:
• Strengthening Cross-Sector Partnerships to Expand Post-Secondary Opportunities
• Best Practices in College Access, Career Readiness, and Success
• Creating College Access Pipelines for Non-Traditional Students
We will also introduce the first in a series of newly launched courses in College Access and Success and are thrilled to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Mr. Pedro Rivera, Pennsylvania Secretary for Education.
We hope that you will mark your calendar for this important event. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Please email impact@temple.edu for more information.
