Inside Look at Mastery Charter Schools
Posted by on November 10, 2008
Join us for breakfast and an inside look at what is possible for all Philadelphia students. See how Mastery has turned around several of Philadelphia’s most troubled schools and closed the achievement gap. Learn how break-through results can be replicated at all Philadelphia schools – and why we must
do so now. Take a tour, talk to students and see for yourself that it can be done.
MASTERY IS PLEASED TO PARTNER WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA TO SHOW THAT EXCELLENCE IN ALL OUR CITY SCHOOLS IS POSSIBLE. Beginning in 2005, the District invited Mastery to convert some of the most troubled District middle schools to Mastery Charter Schools serving grades
7-12. The District leases the school buildings to Mastery, and Mastery enrolls the students and takes responsibility for the academic and operational management of the schools.
