The Farm Bill isn’t just about farming. It is our most important piece of agricultural legislation, covering issues of conservation, food stamps, and school lunches and has international implications for poor people in developing countries.
Join us if you care about: your community, farmers in developing counties, WIC, family farmers, sustainability, food stamps, commodity subsidies, organic labeling, forests, rural development, fair trade, farmers markets, local food, nutrition, the environment, food systems, food security, and food access.
On Thursday, January 25, 2007, the Hunger & Environmental Nutrition Special Interest Group of the Greater New York Dietetic Association (GNYHEN), is sponsoring a full-day, Northeast Regional educational forum and networking event on the 2007 Farm Bill.
