TD Issues Call for Innovative Solutions to Increase Equitable Health Outcomes
Launched in 2018, the TD Ready Challenge serves as a springboard for social solutions to emerging problems, with a focus on solutions to a specific issue identified in The Ready Commitment, TD’s corporate citizenship platform.
This year’s Ready Challenge is dedicated to Better Health. TD seeks proposals focused on improving access to the early detection of disease, as well as programs grounded in clinical solutions focused on preventative efforts such as screening and intervention innovations, with the goal of reducing the onset, development, and severity of chronic disease and illness.
Through the program, TD will award grants of $1 million (CDN) each to ten future-looking organizations.
Proposals must satisfy one or both of the following criteria: improve on existing healthcare practices and services for underserved and remote populations in Canada and/or low- to moderate-income populations in the United States; and/or utilize cutting-edge technologies to reach underserved and remote populations in Canada and/or low- to moderate-income populations in the U.S.
The 2019 TD Ready Challenge application period opens June 24 and will close on August 23 at 4:00 p.m. EST. Proposals will be judged in multiple rounds by panels consisting of TD executives and external subject-matter experts. The winning organizations will be announced in the fall of 2019.
