Immigrants and the American Dream in Cinema: Does Freedom Equal Success?
Philadelphia Museum of Art Film Lecturer Mike McGonigle will show us the good, bad, and absurd ways that immigrants have been represented in American cinema. Michael is an engaging speaker who will be sure to spark a lively discussion while showing you clips from over a dozen films, both documentary and narrative, well-known and obscure.
We will have movie night appropriate snacks, beer and wine, and great company. Suggested donation $25.

A Better Life
Join PICC for a screening of “A Better Life”, a 21st century immigrant story featuring Oscar nominated Demian Bichir. Tickets are $9 and proceeds will support PICC’s work. Purchase tickets here.
