IARSLCE 2021 Virtual Gathering: Reflections on a Tumultuous Time and an Invitation to Gather – Nov 15-17

The International Association for Research on Service-Learning & Community Engagement (IARSLCE) 2021 Virtual Gathering will convene scholars from around the globe, November 15-17, 2021, to share high quality transdisciplinary research across a wide range of approaches and forms.

Presentations and sessions include:

  • The latest in Service-Learning and Community Engagement Research with 85 oral and poster presentations from scholars around the world.
  • Exciting plenary sessions such as Colette Cann and Eric DeMeulenaere presenting on Academic Activism as Resistance and Hope; a panel of scholars discussing Power in Community Engaged Scholarship; the latest on the Research Agenda-Setting led by Andy Furco; the presentation of the annual IARSLCE Awards and Recognitions; an international panel discussion, and final Reflections on the Gathering and Envisioning the Future led by IARSLCE Board Chair Becca Berkey.
  • Special sessions for graduate students and practitioner-scholars.
  • Special sessions such as Exploring Critical Approaches and New Spaces for Service-Learning and Community Engagement and Confronting Racial and Ethnic Marginalization in Higher Education to Make Way for a More Just Future.
  • Regional Networking sessions
  • Affinity groups sessions focused on issues related to K-12, Engaged Scholarship in an Online Environment, Service-Learning Assessment, Community Health Research, Community Partners, Anti-Racism and Social Justice Research, and International/Global Service-Learning.
