Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week Events – Nov 12-20

Posted by Bethesda Project on November 8, 2022

Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program bringing people together across the country to draw attention to issues surrounding hunger and homelessness.

In 2022, Bethesda Project will recognize this week and raise awareness for its mission and accomplishments in homeless services in Philadelphia.

We invite you to join us for these public events:

Potsticker Making at bao • logy – November 12th, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Making potstickers is a traditional way for families and/or friends to gather together and connect over the making and eating of food. Join Chef Judy, owner of Baology, and the team at Bethesda Project as she discusses and demonstrates her family tradition of potstickers and talking about the importance of sourcing your ingredients and sustainable food systems. Conversations about food insecurity and community will be on the menu as well.

Wonton Making at bao • logy – November 19th, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Wontons are a satisfying way for families and/or friends to gather and connect. They are super flexible and can be enjoyed boiled on their own, fried, or included as part of your soup. Join Chef Judy, owner of Baology, and the team at Bethesda Project as we talk about the importance of sourcing your ingredients and sustainable food systems. Conversations about food insecurity and community will be on the menu as well.

Lunch and Learn:  “A Conversation around Harm Reduction and Power Dynamics” – November 17th, 12:00pm – 1:00pm
All are welcome to join a presentation and discussion with Bethesda Project program staff, Andrew Huff, Autumn Jenkins, and Tori Johnson, surrounding their takeaways from the National Alliance to End Homelessness Conference which took place this past July in Washington, DC.
