Many Pennsylvania children who receive free and reduced meals during the school year find themselves without a constant source of healthy food during the summer months, especially in rural areas. To combat the issue of summer hunger, the USDA has implemented summer meal reimbursement programs. As an afterschool program, you can help fight hunger in your community.
