Human Resources Manager, Back On My Feet

Based at headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, The Human Resources Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer, Kim Sauer. The HR Manger will be the point of contact for all staff at HQ and the respective cities (MD, DC, MA, IL, TX, and more in 2011).

Specific Responsibilities will include:

• Formulates and implements policies and procedures relating to all phases of staff activity including recruiting, selection, training, development, payroll, employee relations, retention, compensation, benefits, and occupational safety and health.
• Reads and studies current and proposed legislation and state and federal court decisions to assess industry trends, makes recommendations to management concerning developments that impact local operations.
• Works in conjunction with legal contacts when necessary to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
• Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill open positions.
• Represents organization and management at personnel related meetings.
• Informs BOMF leadership and assures implementation of compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and affirmative action programs at assigned location(s).
• Promotes the importance of living BOMF’s values and organizational culture.
• Ensures effective implementation and administration of HR tools and programs.
• Manages and conducts employee training and orientation programs in conjunction with the COO, VP, Expansion and Strategy and the Finance Manager.
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the HR Department.
