A part-time (30 hours per week) Human Resources Director is being sought to perform the responsibilities required to ensure staff excellence, legal compliance, and mission accomplishment.
Responsibilities
• Provide thought leadership on human resources issues in organizational planning and strategy development.
• Assist management in recruiting, hiring and retaining a diverse pool of individuals whose strengths contribute to CFL’s effectiveness.
• Perform human resource functions in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Provide day-to-day operational responsibilities, including as examples, employee relations, employee, investigations, facilitation and recruitment of hiring,
• Insure organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Manage employee benefits, including annual renewals.
• Provide input on personnel budgets for major contracts
• Manage payroll, timesheets and HRIS software.
• Ensure CFL policies and procedures are legally compliant and applied fairly to all employees.
• Facilitate performance evaluation process including annual managerial training.
• Conduct and analyze staff exit and other interviews/surveys for data tracking, analysis and action purposes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field required, advanced degree preferred.
• Additional degree/minor in the social services, education or organizational development preferred.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Minimum of six years human resources experience in a generalist capacity and 2 years of management experience required.
• Experience at the senior management or executive level preferred.
• Experience in the non-profit and/or education field preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret employment legislation and regulations required.
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Experience with major HR and payroll software solutions required. Experience with SAGE Suite (HRMS, payroll, alerts, actions and timesheets), Empower payroll taxes, and iRecruit applicant tracking system preferred.
• Non-profit finance knowledge including program budgeting and payroll taxes preferred
• Experience with 403B and 5500 filing preferred.
• Superior communication skills – written and oral required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
Schedule: To be determined. This is a part-time position of 30 hours per week.
