Women Against Abuse, the city’s leading domestic violence service provider, is looking for a Human Resources Associate to join our Human Resources Department!
Summary of Principle Duties:
Provide recruitment and employment services, benefits services, compensation support and other Human Resources services as delegated by the Director of Human Resources. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: performing a full range of recruitment services; managing the new hire process; maintaining payroll records, assist with the running of the bi-weekly pays, running and processing of the related payroll reports; maintaining all employee records; and other supporting various HR functions. All responsibilities are implemented with a focus on customer service and according to our mission, vision and according to Agency standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field is required. May consider a combination of education and experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Two (2) years’ experience in multiple Human Resources functions is required.
- Detailed oriented and demonstrated skills of follow through.
- Ability to successfully work independently and as a member of a team.
- Previous experience in a non-profit is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to service of others is required.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing are required.
- Strong attention to details and ability to manage multiple activities
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, & Excel) and related software
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization is required
- Affinity for or experience in working on domestic violence issues is strongly preferred
- Satisfactory criminal record, FBI and child abuse clearances and a TB Test required pre hire (all expenses paid by WAA).
