Workshop on applying for tax exemption set
A workshop series on obtaining a federal tax exemption for an organization, How To Obtain 501(c)(3) Tax-Exemption and Keep It, will take place at the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Hagan Hall Amphitheater for two hours each Wednesday from February 20th through March 13th, 6:30-8:30pm.
Participants will understand and complete IRS Form 1023, along with all supporting organizational documents and attachments, for a definitive ruling as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization. This is a project-based course and participants are expected to work on applying for non-profit tax-exemption for their organization during the class. This course is for representatives of community and faith-based organizations incorporated or unincorporated.
