How to Immerse Your Organization in Social Media without Drowning

PA Association of Nonprofit Organizations workshop focuses on using social media
Too frequently social media strategies consist of responding to an executive, volunteer or donor saying “we need a …” “how come we don’t have…” or “are you on…” In the effort to stay relevant and current, someone volunteers or is deputized to lead the charge into social media.
Like other marketing efforts, social media needs to be considered as part of a larger communication strategy. A relevant offering, a compelling message and a consistent presence are crucial elements no matter the tactic.
To help nonprofits in using social media, the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations will sponsor Jumping in with Both Toes – How to Immerse Your Organization in Social Media without Drowning, on Wednesday, January 13th from 10am to noon, at the Salvation Army, 1340 Brown Street in Philadelphia.
The presentation focuses on helping nonprofits identify where there are real opportunities for integrating social media, and explores ways to move forward with limited time and budget.
The workshop costs $59 for PANO members and $106 for others. For more information or to register, click here.
