Helping homeless providers develop affordable housing
The Blueprint to End Homelessness of the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition will sponsor the eighth in its Public Private Task Force workshop series on housing and homelessness on Thursday, June 7th, 9am to Noon, on Housing How-To’s: How Homeless Provider Agencies Can Become Affordable Housing Developers. The event will take place at the People’s Emergency Center, 325 N. 39th Street.
Executives, administrators and development staff of homeless provider agencies are encouraged to attend this “beginners” workshop on how to position an agency for the expanded role of affordable housing and facilities redevelopment.
Housing and facility developers Tameka Favors and Bill Thomas of the Women’s Community Revitalization Project will run the lively, hands-on workshop, modeled on development training sessions they routinely provide.
Light refreshments will be served. Attendance will be capped. RSVP to [email protected] or contact Mary Fields at People’s Emergency Center with particular questions at 215-382-7522 ext 263. Please specify in the email that you will be attending the Providers’ meeting.
