PILCOP to hold second year of special ed law workshops

PILCOP says it views these seminars as an important part of its mission to fix special education in the Philadelphia region. By educating parents, teachers, advocates, and others, it aims to help form a community of advocates who will share their knowledge about getting great educational results for students with disabilities — then work together to put that knowledge to use.
The seminars will cover such topics as inclusive education, bullying, dealing with behavioral and disciplinary problems, assistive technology, Section 504, and much more. The first session of the series, called Back to School, will take place on Thursday, August 30th, and will provide an overview of updates to special education law as well as how you can prepare for a successful school year for students with disabilities.
