The Hope Center for Student Basic Needs has compiled a helpful document that provides resources for supporting your students as they navigate the impacts of the SNAP cliff during the federal government shutdown and beyond.

The situation is evolving rapidly. During the federal government shutdown, the Administration has been reluctant to release November SNAP payments using contingency funds and several court rulings and appeals have created a complex situation. Congress is also moving forward with a plan to reopen the government, which would include the funding necessary to disburse full SNAP payments and make the litigation moot. However, the legislative process could take days or weeks to finalize.
