The Honors Program at Temple University is dedicated to providing high-achieving students with enriching academic opportunities, holistic advising, a dynamic and inclusive community, and strong encouragement and support. We promote intellectual curiosity, inclusive community, social courage, and integrity in leadership.
Our staff delivers individualized, developmental advising on academic planning, majors, careers, scholarships, fellowships and graduate schools. We also offer specialized Honors classes, co-curricular programming, a Living-Learning Community, and leadership opportunities through our multiple Honors student organizations. We are part of the mix that makes Temple University a wonderful place to earn a degree.
The Advisor I will provide specialized advising services for students in the Honors Program and assist with the day-to-day operations of our multi-faceted office. The Advisor I advises talented students in every school and college with multiple options and complex choices.
Additional responsibilities include instructing an Honors First-Year Seminar, developing co-curricular programs that support student needs; advising select student organizations; serving as a liaison between students and faculty, staff, and administrators. The Advisor also assists with recruiting prospective Honors students through participating in open houses, admitted student receptions, day-long student visits and other selected recruitment events. Performs other duties as assigned.
