Honorary Judges needed, SAGE USA National Tournament
Posted by on February 06, 2012
As someone interested in community service and youth innovation, you are invited to be an honorary judge at the SAGE USA National tournament on May 25-26, 2012 at the University of California-Berkeley.
SAGE targets high school students, who work closely with their university student mentors/consultants, to start their own commercial and social business ventures during the year. The university students participate as part of their service-learning activities. The best high school teams in each country travel to a global competition each year.
The welcome reception and opening ceremonies are set for Friday evening, May 25. First round judging is set for Saturday morning, May 26. The final round is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. You may elect to judge one or both sessions. Following the afternoon round, we will hold a dinner and awards ceremony.
If you are interested in attending, please reply to me at [email protected]. I will send you more information (e.g., maps, parking information) as the date approaches, and a brief questionnaire to help us with food and lodging planning.
If you have business friends or colleagues in the San Francisco area who may be interested in joining us, please forward this information to them.
Sponsors include like Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Staples, Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, Deloitte and the California Society of CPAs.
Sincerely,
Dr. Curtis L. DeBerg
