Homeless Memorial Day
Posted by on December 12, 2003
The Blueprint to End Homelessness will commemorate Homeless Memorial Day with a candlelight vigil on Monday, December 22 at 4:30pm at City Hall?s Dilworth Plaza. This annual event remembers those who have lost their lives to homelessness, supports those men, women, and children currently living without shelter, and celebrates those who have found a home. This year a memorial collage will be created in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to homelessness. The Blueprint is asking individuals to express their feelings through ?memory cards? which share stories, poems, pictures, or thoughts on homelessness. Please contact Jenny Lucas (jlucas@pec-cares.org) to obtain memory cards.
