PHILADELPHIA GAS WORKS (PGW) PROMOTES HOME ENERGY ACTION TEAMS (HEAT) 4 PHILLY
Home Energy Action Teams (HEAT) 4 PHILLY represents Philadelphia Gas Works’ (PGW?s) commitment to reach out to those who are eligible for utility assistance but have not applied. To achieve this outreach, PGW seeks to build meaningful relationships with community and faith based organizations who are typically the “first responders” in times of crisis.
PGW training workshops citywide will prepare direct service providers and caregivers to more effectively provide information and referral services or special assistance. PGW district offices and Neighborhood Energy Centers (NECs) will provide ongoing technical assistance to all parties.

Workshop will include:
PGW Presentations and Q&A on
? Extremely high gas bills
? Importance of conservation
? Programs PGW has available to help
? Resources (newsletters, etc.) to promote available programs
Participatory Action Planning
? How and where to reach your hard to serve
? Baseline measures of outreach and eligibility
? Customized, results-oriented action plan
