We are excited to invite you to a special event in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, presented by the Division of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement.
Keynote Lecture: Latinephenomenom: Latiné/x Voters, Candidates, and Organizers Breaking the Stale Pale Male Model of U.S. Politics
Speaker: Anna Sampaio, Ph.D. Professor of Ethnic Studies and Political Science, Santa Clara University
Join us for an engaging discussion that will draw on an intersectional analysis of the political engagement of the Latiné/x community. Dr. Sampaio will examine their roles as voters, candidates, and organizers, highlighting their significant impact on national politics and their crucial influence in the upcoming 2024 election.
