Higher Education at a Watershed Moment – The Future Of Community & Civic Engagement
June 23-26, 2014
Stella Maris Retreat & Renewal Center, Skaneateles, NY
New York Campus Compact is bringing the national faculty of the renowned Engagement Academy to New York State! Join Dr. Barbara Holland, President Emeritus Dr. Judith Ramaley, and Dr. Loriliee Sandmann for a three-day academy specifically designed for college/university leaders and their teams who are charged with advancing their institutions’ community engagement agendas.
The Engagement Academy, endorsed by the American Association of State Colleges & Universities, the Coalition of Urban & Metro Universities, the Association of Public & Land-Grant Universities and Community-Campus Partnerships for Health, supports colleges and universities in the development of institutional engagement plans, effectively linking community engagement to the teaching, research, and service missions of the institution. For the first time ever, the Engagement Academy will be hosted by NYCC and will be tailored to the specific priorities of higher education in New York. This unique opportunity will allow campuses to develop engagement plans that are integrated into the campus as a tool for institutional effectiveness.
