HIGHER EDUCATION AND CDFI PARTNERSHIPS

OFN and the Jessie Ball duPont Fund have partnered to publish a new report, Partnerships for Community Impact: Higher Education and CDFIs Working Together, to engage leaders in higher education and community development finance, inspire their thinking, and encourage their collaboration in community development opportunities.

It highlights examples of CDFIs and institutions of higher education working together to bring about significant change in the low-income communities they serve, such as:

  • The Reinvestment Fund and LaSalle University improving access to healthy foods
  • IFF and University of Chicago increasing child care and education options
  • Hope Enterprise Corporation and Delgado Community College developing small business and entrepreneurship
  • Self-Help and Duke revitalizing homes in distressed neighborhoods
  • Latino Community Credit Union and UVA measuring social impact
