Higher education service and civic engagement are high on the agenda for the National Conference on Volunteering and Service!
We will recognize and honor the local President?s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll recipients.

Come join hundreds of people from community organizations, corporations and education institutions who are promoting youth and college service and service-learning.
On Monday, July 16 from 2 to 5, we will hold an interactive forum
Creating a Vision for Civic Engagement in Higher Education: A Conversation with College Presidents

Constantine Papadakis, President of Drexel University
Steve Curtis, President of Community College of Philadelphia, and
Beverly Jones, Provost of North Carolina Central University

are confirmed to participate in a dialogue the rationale for higher education community engagement and effective service.
There are a wide variety of workshops for higher education staff, students, and faculty on community service, service-learning and civic engagement. Many workshops will be of interest to AmeriCorps and VISTA members and staff who are students or who work with colleges.
