High School Personal Finance
October 23, 2015; 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
In this one-day professional development program, open to grades 9-12 teachers, Federal Reserve economic education specialists demonstrate curriculum resources for teaching personal finance in the secondary classroom. Teachers will learn methods for teaching personal decision-making, saving, spending, budgeting, and the wise use of credit. Program participants will be introduced to the recently revised Financial Fitness for Life curriculum for grades 9-12. Participants will receive 6.5 hours of professional development credit (Act 48 in Pennsylvania), continental breakfast, lunch, and all curriculum resources.
